About me

German psychologist in English, German, and Spanish.

My name is Michelle Pöschk. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from the Westfälische Wilhelms Universität Münster, and am an alternative practitioner in psychotherapy.

I consult people online who want to enhance their emotional balance, get a deeper knowledge about themselves, and conduct healthier and deeper relationships to themselves and others.

You might ask yourself if online therapy is the right thing for you. Let me point out the following:

I know how hard it can be at first to open yourself up to someone unknown and talk about your problems and insecurities.

That is the reason why I insist on orienting the process in regard to your needs and your rhythm. I consider us to be allies in the consulting process.

In most of the cases there is no simple solution for a problem, although it might seem like that at first sight. Thus this is a path that we explore together.

You can count on me for holding a secure, private and accessible space for your psychological development.

SERVICES

How does online counselling work?

The sessions are 50 minutes long video calls.

During the sessions, the procedure is similar to a face-to-face therapy session.

This means you have an open space for dialogue, active listening, and total confidentiality.

The big advantage of online sessions is the easy accessibility, from everywhere you are.

The only thing you need is a working computer, an internet connection and a private room.

The only thing I ask from you is being authentic, dedicated to the process and honest.

This is your safe space.

What can I achieve with online therapy?

Of course I can’t promise you the magic pill. But what you can achieve is:

Gaining knowledge about yourself, and accepting and appreciating yourself with all your flaws and virtues.

Accepting suffering, frustration, and pain as a part of life.

Conducting healthy and deeper relationships with yourself and others.

Identifying your innate capacities, resources and strategies, to overcome difficult situations and conflicts.

Become aware of life as a process of growth.

Formulate your needs and wishes and listen carefully.

What kind of problems can you help me with?

Is the cost of the sessions defrayed by my health insurance?

No. The charge for counselling has to be paid privately. Please take into account that the long term benefits of psychological counselling are priceless, and that the process is an investment in your future self and your inner growth.

What time can I reach you?

You can reach out to me whenever you want. I will try to answer as soon as possible, between 8 AM and 5 PM, European time.

The meetings will be scheduled individually during this timespan.

How many sessions do I need to feel better?

This depends on your situation and the work you put in.

You will start to get in touch with yourself at your pace, this might need some time. But you will find your abilities and strengths for overcoming difficulties and conflictive situations.

Life is a never ending process of growth and decay. I see myself as your guide in this learning process, orienting you in the searching for your questions and answers.

What happens if I have to cancel a meeting?

You can cancel the appointments up to 24 for hours in advance free of charge.

However, if meetings are cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, I charge you the commission.

Please take into consideration that the sessions need time for preparation, and are a time that I dedicate to you.
